Four Composers • Four Premieres

SONAR's annual RADARlab returns this season with a twist. Four emerging student composers from the Peabody Institute will be invited for our year-long commissioning program. Each composer will be responsible for a two-part project this season.

 

Throughout the SONAR season, the selected composers will participate in reading sessions with the ensemble to gather feedback on their works in progress and to craft the piece specifically for SONAR's musicians. 

 

At the final performance, the audience will be asked to vote for their favorite composer's piece who will then receive a commission for the 2016-2017 Mainstage SONAR season.
